THE NICHOLSON LIBRARY, with a holding of over 12,000 volumes is provided exclusively for the purpose of academic study and research which supports and augments learning. It serves the student body of the institution as well as those students attending the extension classes in Trinidad. The mission statement of this library is to provide access to the resources and materials that support WIST’s academic programs and work to compliment the overall philosophy of the institution.Every student should be able to depend upon the library as a place of quiet undisturbed study. Silence will be enforced. To use the library is one of the greatest privileges afforded all students of WIST.
Internet Access and Wireless Network – The institution provides students with wireless networked access to the internet for research and other interactive purposes. Use of the internet should be related to the academic programme, personal development and global communication.
A copy of the library Policies, Procedures and Rules for using the Internet and Wireless Network, as well as the library’s Goals and Objectives, can be obtained from the Library Technician.
