The following options for Financial Aid are available for students who qualify:
The Foreign Student Grant
This grant is available to foreign students who have met the matriculation requirements and are attending the institution. It applies only to the Diploma Program. The 50% discount in tuition fees is automatically applied to students that meet the criteria. Students must be resident on the school compound to receive this grant.
Bishop T. J. Nelson Memorial Scholarship
The Bishop T. J. Nelson Memorial Scholarship is awarded to any full full-time student(s) of the West Indies School of Theology (WIST), enrolled in the Diploma or Bachelor Programme, or any other such programme as the Fellowship of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies shall deem eligible, the actual value of which shall be determined by the WIST Administrative Committee.
The scholarship shall be awarded to an individual for one academic year, upon the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee, and may become renewable based on the individual’s academic performance, extra-curricula activities and such other criteria, as determined from time to time by the WIST Administrative Committee.
Applicants for the T. J. Nelson Memorial Scholarship must be bona fide members of a PAWI church and demonstrate a desire to be involved in missions and/or evangelism. They must submit:
- an application on the official application form, not later than 31st March of the preceding year;
- two references: one being from the applicant’s pastor, and one other;
- their curriculum vitae, and any other information that might enhance the application.
The successful applicant will be notified in writing, prior to commencement of the next academic year, by 31 August.
Hazeline Mahabir Book Scolarship
One student each year is award a certificate for 50% discount on academic books bought at the school. This scholarship is partially based on academic performance (i.e. a GPA of at least 3.0).
